September was another busy month for untied, with the team working on a whole host of new features for both Pro and Lite customers to enjoy. Keep your eyes peeled over the next few weeks, as we’ve got loads of exciting announcements!

Key dates ⏳

5 October – self-employment registration deadline – if you’re newly self-employed, you’ll need to be registered with HMRC by 5 October. You only need to do this once. You will receive a Unique Taxpayer Reference which you can use in untied to manage your taxes

19 October – this is the deadline for applying for Self-Employment Income Support Scheme SEISS Covid support. You could be covered if you have been affected by Covid, even if you didn’t apply in the first phase (though the same conditions apply such as starting your business before April 2019)

31 October – your friends have a deadline for submitting a paper tax return. But of course you’ll be using untied. You can submit by 31 January but there are lots of reasons to do so earlier

Referring your friends! 🥳

You can earn £10 for everyone you introduce to an untied Pro monthly subscription, and £25 for everyone who signs up to an untied Pro annual plan. And whatever you earn, your friend gets as well.

You’ll find your referral link in untied online under your profile icon, in untied lite in the subscriptions page, and in the mobile apps by going to “More”.

untied Pro and lite📱

We’ve streamlined our plans. Those using the mobile app and full desktop versions are now on untied Pro.

And the simpler manual version is now called untied lite. It’s what used to be known as untied for gig workers, and the new name reflects that it’s being used by a much broader group of self-employed people.
