London, UK – untied, the UK’s personal tax app, today announced that it has hired David Buchalter as engineering manager.  In this role, David will collaborate with others in the team and help design, build and deliver untied products in an agile way.  He and his family will be shortly relocating from South Africa to join the team in the UK.

David studied biomedical and electrical engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand.  He joins from MEDITECH South Africa where he spent over seven years as a software engineer, managing the delivery of a diverse range of service improvement and development projects.  Prior to his time at MEDITECH, he worked for a range of organisations, including IBM, MTN and Istrodent in various engineering and solutions architect positions.

David said: “I am thrilled to join untied.  The business is poised for success, huge growth and expansion over the coming months and this is a great opportunity to join an amazing group of individuals who are all leaders and innovators in their fields of expertise.  My entrepreneurial spirit has been ignited and I feel inspired and motivated.  It’s like I have joined the Starship Enterprise and we are travelling at warp speed!”
